The first official month of summer is over already! The days go by so quickly, but they sure were fun! Since “Sonny Days” were celebrated in Lancaster at the end of April commemorating Charles “Sonny” Tiedeman and his family’s contributions to the community, folks took a bus trip to the Grant Historical Society to see Sonny’s famous bright green car that he used to drive around town. The men enjoyed a special Father’s Day breakfast in honor of all fathers. A big thank you to Maintenance Technician Tom for picking up doughnuts and sharing farm memories. As our summer cookout and the 4th of July drew nearer, some of the residents made some great patriotic decorations to add a festive touch.
