What a joy it is to be part of the Lancaster community! Morningside participated in the Sweets and Treats event, so folks made tissue paper pumpkins and filled them with candy for the trick-or-treaters who stopped by. It was wonderful to see all the sweet kiddos in their costumes! For the first time since COVID, students from River Ridge Elementary School were able to come into the building to do life interviews with the folks. What a welcome event! The seniors even asked the students a few questions. A big thank you to Teacher Katie Droessler for helping organize the visit. Toward the end of the month, the niece of one of our staff members brought in her Holstein calf, which prompted lots of memories from our former farmers. We also thank Saint Clement School students for visiting in their costumes and Schreiner Memorial Library for the “Grant County Murders & Ghastly Trivia” contest and prizes! You all made our month extra special! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
