January Activities

January can have some dreary weather, but there were lots of engaging activities that made for busy and joyful days. There were some special birthday celebrations and a taste-testing of breakfast cereals from the 1960s. Folks also watched some vintage cereal commercials which brought back lots of memories and laughter. To get ready for the Season of Love, there were Valentine’s Day votive candles to create. A Hot Chocolate Bar with lots of whipped cream and toppings helped warm up the chilly winter days, as did a delicious pizza lunch from Happy Joe’s. The month ended with Volunteer Mary Ann braving winter weather to bring in some special heirloom items including a treasured “Yo-Yo” quilt. To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
