September 8-14 was National Assisted Living Week, which is always lots of fun! The week started out with Grandparents’ Day, and folks made baskets of games and snacks to share with their family members who visited. Each day had a theme, like Pajama Day and Fan Club Friday. Bucky Badger was an honored guest that day! A trip was taken to the Schreiner Memorial Library for an art project with the after-school kids, and local photographer Mary Hampton took beautiful photographs of everyone who wanted one. Folks also worked together to make scarecrows to participate in the Chamber of Commerce contest! On top of all that, there was a UTV ride through the countryside (thank you to all the volunteer drivers), great music and interesting programs.
