November means Veterans Day, and there were a number of events to honor our resident veterans. Folks enjoyed a delicious meal and patriotic sing-a-long, the Winskill Elementary School 5th grade students performed Veterans Day songs, and two gentlemen received Quilts of Valor at the local VFW. November is also opening day for hunting, so folks practiced their sharpshooting skills with Nerf guns and balloon turkeys. The Village Women Drummers and The Plucky Strummers gave great performances, and the Lancaster National Honor Society students came and played cards. But the highlight of the month was attending a performance of “Damn Yankees” by the Fennimore high school students. Resident Assistant Tilla wowed us with her talents!
