June started with Morningside helping to sponsor the Tom Wopat concert at Summer Nights at the Plaza. The weather was beautiful and the music was great! Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for our family summer party so we had to reschedule it, but attendance and fun didn’t seem to be affected. A big thank you to members of VFW Post 2344 and American Legion Post 109 for performing a Flag Day ceremony for folks. Ellen’s two brothers participated, which made it extra special. Father’s Day was celebrated with a cookout and concert by the Country Deputies, and the bus took a group to tour the Dubuque Arboretum. Folks welcomed new Care Coordinator Tracy, and the month ended with a patriotic craft project and everyone enjoying the fireworks show! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
