June had some fun opportunities to connect with the community! Morningside helped sponsor Ken Kilian’s Classic Big Band for Summer Nights at the Plaza, and folks had a great time at the performance. Morningside also hosted an Intergenerational Drum Circle as part of the Schreiner Memorial Library summer program. The First Presbyterian Church youth group came to play bingo, and folks went to a raptor program at the library, also partially sponsored by Morningside. Families came for Pies with the Guys to celebrate Father’s Day together, and a huge thank you to community friends Marty, Julie, Tom and Patti for cooking up a terrific fish fry.
