A number of wonderful Easter celebrations were recently held at Morningside.  Residents once again volunteered their time to fill plastic Easter eggs with candy and other goodies for the Lancaster Jaycees’ Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24th at Schreiner Memorial Library.  It’s always a great way to give back to the community!  The seniors also enjoyed a delicious Easter luncheon of ham, potatoes, veggies, and deviled eggs, which the homemakers club made themselves.  Of course there was butter pecan ice cream and peeps for dessert!  Lastly, residents played a fun game called ‘scrambled eggs’ throughout the month.  The object of the game is to grab an egg from an Easter basket and come up with words made from the 10 – 14 letters that were inside the specific egg.  Everyone had a fabulous time playing!  To view photos from the activities, please click on the web album.
